Is the Fantasy World Map Generator free?

Yes. It is free, open source and runs entirely in your browser with no account or upload.

Can I export my fantasy map as a poster?

Yes. The File tab exports a high-resolution poster with a title, legend, compass rose and frame, and nation fact sheets.

Will the same seed always make the same map?

Yes. Generation is deterministic, and a .world save file stores the seed plus every edit you made.

Can it simulate the history of my world?

Yes. The History tab runs year-by-year expansion, wars, battles, collapses, dynasties and rulers. You can replay any past year and export the timeline as an animated GIF.

What do I need to run it?

A modern browser with JavaScript and WebGL2. Nothing is sent to a server.
